On Saturday, April 24th, Great Eastern hosted our second annual 3D Stimulus Day, at CDIABU, Waltham, MA.

Our speakers this year included: Alex Schwartz (Technical Artist – Seven45 Studios), Dan Konieczka (Technical Director,  Vermont Digital Arts), Yuris Mangolds (Director of 3D, C2I Studios),  Gäel McGill (Harvard University’s Director of Molecular Visualization and President and CEO of Digizyme, Inc.) and Chad Moore ( Technical Art Director at Turbine, Inc and Co-founder at Rigging Mentor).



Topics included: Rigging in Maya, what it takes to be a technical artist at a game company, making molecular biovisualization movies, lighting and materials: concepts & theory, and Creating MAARS (Modulated Advanced Armed Robotic System).
