Great Eastern is happy to sponsor the first-ever meeting of the Boston NUKE User Group on Wednesday, September 17th at Neoscape
Ryan Quinlan will be showing the beta of NUKE Studio, and how it can fit into your VFX pipeline. Ryan recently finished a five year stint freelancing in the VFX industry in Los Angeles. During his time he worked primarily as a Compositor and occasional Pipeline TD for award winning feature films, commercials, and music videos. He is now happy to join The Foundry as a Creative Specialist where he can show off the products that he loves.
and
Greg Brown will be showing advanced Modo/Mari workflows that can be leveraged for both games and VFX in a variety of exciting ways. What makes this combination special is the streamlined 3D asset creation tools in Modo combined with the powerful, non-destructive painting workflows in Mari. Utilizing these methods will make painting in a 2D image editing application a thing of the past. Greg is a Modo Creative Specialist at the Foundry. He has worked in advertising as a 3D artist for 5 years and as a freelance character modeler for 8. Greg has produced work for variety of high profile brands during his time at Alter, including Coors, McDonalds, Corona, Bacardi, Conoco, Kenmore, Hersheys, Cascade and many others. He currently lives in Chicago, Il and spends his days serving up fresh, hot Modo goodness...
